
How to Lodge a Formal Complaint
1. Make complaint to the regulated entity
- Submit your complaint in writing/email to the regulated entity
- If you experience a problem with a service or product you purchased, you are entitled to lodge a complaint to the company for resolve.
- This gives the regulated entity the opportunity to address and resolve your issue(s).
- Each entity regulated by the FSC is required to have a procedure to deal with complaints.
2. Get formal response from the regulated entity
- If you are dissatisfied with entity’s response or are unable to resolve – request a formal response from the entity, in writing or email, and document all respective persons, channels or timelines of communication with the company.
3. Lodge a formal complaint to FSC
- Use the online complaints form to provide all necessary information and supporting documentation for review.
- Examples include but are not limited to invoices, contracts, receipts, letters or emails etc.
The FSC will review and the complaint for investigation and provide a decision on the matter upon completion.

- If the FSC considers that your matter falls within the jurisdiction of another government organization, regulator or agency, in Belize or elsewhere, we may forward your information to that entity.
