Securities

The Financial Services Commission of Belize (“the FSC”) is responsible for the administration of the Securities Industry Act, 2021 (SIA). The FSC is vested with the responsibility and power to register and regulate securities activities in and from within Belize.

The FSC’s responsibilities include, but is not limited, to the following:

1. The registration and regulation of securities entities in/from Belize;
2. The supervision and regulation of timely and relevant disclosure of information by securities entities in or from within Belize;
3. The ongoing review, examination, and inspection of securities entities in or from within Belize.

For an entity to be considered for registration, a complete application must be submitted, and the requirements set under the FCS’s Fit and Proper Criteria, SIA, Securities Industry Regulations 2023, and Economic Substance Act must be met.
